Moses Simon lost his elder sister who passed on during child birth on Sunday evening.
Her death was confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation on their official Twitter handle on Monday.
Reacting to the sad news, the NFF sent their condolences to the Gent winger.
“Our thoughts are with Super Eagles forward Simon Moses who lost his elder sister Hauwa during child birth on Sunday evening,” the NFF wrote on their handle.
